Now UV laser marking machine is the most common laser machine in the market,. it is a new type of marking machine which use the UV ray to finish the surface marking or coating. It still belongs to laser marking machine family. Compared to ordinary laser marking machine (infrared laser marking) it has some differences and similarities. 1. Difference wavelength
The wavelength of ordinary laser( infrared laser) is 625-740nm, while the UV wavelength is 380-440nm. From comparison of the wavelength, we can conclude that UV laser has higher marking speed and higher spread speed in the same medium. It is granted that people will prefer UV laser marking machine.
2. Different forms of light emission
① The UV is generated by 808nm LD pump crystal , which means, it produces laser quite easy.
② In ordinary laser, among the atom of composition material, there are a different number of electrons distributed in different energy levels. By some kind of photon excitation, high-level particles will jump from a high energy level to low energy level, there will emit a light of the same nature as the light that excites it, and when the number of particles at a higher energy level is greater than the number of particles at a lower energy level, a weak light will give rise to a strong light, which known as a "laser ".
In summary, ordinary laser marking machine and UV laser marking machine is very different, in addition to the above description, their marking effect, speed and advantages are different, so user can choose their own laser marking machine according to their own preferences and needs.
